You are absolutely right Doctor Sahib. I have read the story by the BBC corespondent. It is really sad and discouraging to see how minorities are treated in Pakistan. We all need to stand and raise our voice against this discriminatory attitude of the majority community.

Very true. It was “the Momen” who introduced the Blasphemy Law and now it has become a sacred document for Pakistan’s Muslims. Although the enlightened and liberated Muslims do not like this law, they are scared of the repercussions if they utter a single word against it. Everybody knows what happened to Salman Taseer and Shahbaz Bhatti. You must watch the video made by a Western journalist who visited Pakistan and interviewed lawyers and state officials asking their views on Blasphemy Law. The video reflects the mind-set of Pakistan’s judicial experts, officials and public.
