That’s a good point, Aruna Shah. The fountain pens were quite expensive in those days and also because pens were not as freely available as they are in the shape of the lousy ball,pens.

Interesting story! Yes, those days pens were very precious and one never wanted to loose them, since good pens were very expensive.

When you wrote the moral of the story you said keep your eyes on your pen if you lend it instead you should say when you lend something always keep an eye on what you lend. After all it was a great story to teach confidence because if you lose something or can’t find out where it is you should stay confident instead of going crazy.
