Imran Khan: Transforming Vision into Reality
Imran Khan has become the Prime Minister of Pakistan. A cricketer, with a charisma to transform his visions into reality. As a child he had the ability to form solid and concrete visions. That’s what he writes about himself. The Dawn newspaper, in its report of December 30, 2016 by Shazia Hassan, quotes Imran Khan saying: “With the right vision and the will to achieve it, any dream can be realised”.
Everybody dreams. It is an inborn characteristic. As we grow old we learn to form visions. A vision is to think something happening according to one’s desires. We make visions of what we want to achieve in our life. Some people have the skill and ability to form very solid and concrete visions. Mind experts claim that you are likely to achieve what you visualize. How successful you are in achieving what you visualize depends upon the intensity and clarity of your vision. The point worth noting is the feelings of taking part in the vision rather than sitting outside and watching the show. That’s daydreaming and is useless. What Imran did was not daydreaming but feeling and experiencing a vision. That’s what makes a difference.
Imran khan had a clear vision of a university in a far-flung under-developed Mianwali District. He followed the vision with faith and determination and succeeded in accomplishing the task. The same was true of his vision of the World Cup. He had a very clear vision of holding the world cup in his hands. He could feel the steps he was taking while running around in the cricket stadium holding the World Cup. His dream and vision were realized. He led his team to World Cup victory even though his team was on the point of being thrown out of the World Cup. How he won the World Cup is a tale of magic and dream.
When his mother died of cancer, he formed a vision of a cancer hospital where poor people would be treated free-of-cost. He also felt the pain of the poor people who were unable to afford the expensive treatment of the deadly disease. His vision of the hospital was so strong that he brushed aside the decision of the Board of Directors of the Hospital. He had perfect faith in his vision. Nothing could shake or break his vision. With his will and determination, he crossed all the obstacles. The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital became a reality.
I remember the day when he decided to come into politics. He decided that he would free the nation of corruption and injustice. He named his political party, ‘Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’ meaning the ‘Movement of Justice’. The odds were heavy and unsurpassable. His opponents were very experienced politicians. Despite all the odds, Imran Khan believed firmly in his vision. His vision of ‘Naya Pakistan’: The New Pakistan, was very concrete. He visualized himself as the Prime Minister of the country. Just as a winning captain, he had the firm faith of winning in the game of politics. He has played a very good game. I remember him saying in one of his interviews about his views of cricket. Khan said, ‘Always keep the opponent team under the carpet. Do not let them come up. Be determined to keep them under the carpet and you will always win”. That is what Imran Khan is: a visionary with faith and determination. He has always been a captain who lead his team to victory. All eyes are on him to see how he wins the game of ‘Naya Pakistan’. Looking at his past experiences, his determination and faith in sticking to his vision, I am confident he would come out as a victor in the game of building ‘The New Pakistan’. The day is not far away when there will be human rights and justice for all the citizens irrespective of class, colour or creed.
Imran Khan’s life experiences are the evidence that a solid and clear vision, with a firm determination and feelings that the vision is not a dream but a real episode, always transforms the desires into reality.
Mumtaz Shah
Shah sahab, some things are predetermined by the supernatural power. There are many people wishing and struggling for their dream to come true, but nothing happens without fate and destiny.
My dear Tony: you are right in what you say. I do not deny the powers of the Heavens. But at the same time I stand for the power of prayer. The skill of creating vision is a type of prayer. When we desire something and creat a vision, we are in fact, praying to the supernatural forces. The realization of our desires depends how strong and solid is our vision, how much we feel about it, how much faith do we have in our vision? It’s not an easy skill. We need to work very hard. But some people have in inborn talent to form visions. The discoveries in the area of science are examples of the power of vision. Nevertheless, thanks for your comments. I am happy that you read the article and thought about it. Blessings.
what u have written about I.K. is very true. I have been his fan all along. Although the “elite class” (some one calls them BADMASHIA) nick pick on his actions, I believe, he will come out successfully from his initial ordeal. Lets give him, at least, hundred days.
I agree with your observation regarding the current political scenario around IK. The opposition Badmashiya will try their utmost to eliminate him. They know that if IK succeeds they will lose their luxuries. Rather, they will be behind bars. But with the visionary skill that IK has, I’m sure he will come out successful.
I’m so happy n feeling lucky that we have Mr Mumtaz, a very learned person around us . I just finished ur article which is a vivid picture of imran khan’s life and his vision. After reading this article, my believe in your logic of clear and solid vision has become even stronger. The way u have explained each n every step of his life with his vision, I agree that a solid n clear vision can turn into reality … from now onward I will start visualizing (or at least try ) to achieve my set goals.… We all need to develop this skill genuinely. Thank you 🙏 for this thought . May allah bless u always .
Thanks Tabinda Khawaja for such good thoughts you have expressed. What I have written about IK is not a fiction but a hard reality. He has done wonders by using his imagination and determination. If our prayers are vision-based, they will surely bring positive results. Thanks once again with loads of prayers and blessings.
Regarding human rights we cannot have high hopes with him in power. He is biased and doesn’t respect people of other faiths. In PKP he gave minorities funds to a madrassa. He has not chosen even a single christian in his cabinet…and there are several such examples. His vision was to get power by hook or crook.and let’s keep watching what happens to minorities during his rule. His first discriminatory step is to introduce Quaranic teaching in school as a compulsory subject and did not give any plan for the non muslim students. Thanks to Aitzaz Ahsan who raised voice for the Hindu christian and Sikh students.
My dear Clement Maurice Sahib: While I do not disagree with you regarding your complaints against IK, I would like to add tha Ijaz Masih and Ms. Ruth have already been inducted to be responsible for human rights, minorities and women affairs. You are right in saying that we should give him time and see how things develop. We shall not support any leadership that harms human rights, equality and justice in all walks of life. Thanks for your very incisive comments.
very nicely written and explained. Although I will not get too deep into the support or criticism part of the political arena and scenario of today’s Pakistan, it is enough to compare the first month of govt. with the previous 3 decades. We should not forget, Pakistan was idealized and realized on the basis of an Islamic Republic and as a separate nation for muslims. Although Quaid-e-Azam and his team of remarkable people devised a constitution that gave rights to all as Citizens of Pakistan, unfortunately that was not carried forward. Imran is inclined and determined towards reviving that very constitution and if he manages to do that, we will see much change in the issues that minorities have faced over the years. He is an honest person and not a thief, so that is good enough quality for a leader. He had a vision to rid the country of corruption and he dived into the filth of politics to get it done whereas he had no need to indulge. He could’ve just opened up an NGO or a rights organization easily and criticized easily from the sidelines, but he took ‘action’. So if we, as masses need to understand how important an action is. We can ‘Safely’ continue to sit on the sidle line and either comment or criticize all we want. If we as learned community fail to understand what is happening to and in Pakistan, be it internal or foreign agendas and fail to play our positive role in building that ‘Naya Pakistan’ then we should also not complain from the comfort of our zones. The comfort zone has to be breached to achieve a vision as it needs an action.
Hi Ken: your comments are in fact an additional write-up for IK. I don’t know what and how to comment. You are such a great, creative genius with a unique eye on things around. Sometimes I feel very sad that such a creative and imaginative person is losing his talent in the wilderness. I wish and pray that you find an opening to share with the world your novel ideas. Thanks for taking your precious time to support my thoughts. Love, prayers and blessings
Very well said about IK. Unfortunately in Pakistan we have very few accomplished souls and IK is on top of the list.
His success story took him to the highets of confidence
His innere richness made him think outside of himself
His truthfullness gave him immese power to speak from heart and convenience listerner
His cherisma and charm make people get attracted.
He is a unique combination which we never had and will never have.
My dear Kashir: Your comments speak the facts about IK. He is different from all the leaders we had in the past history of Pakistan. He is not a politician. That’s why he speaks the truth. Unfortunately, Pakistan has so much sunk in the quagmire of corruption, religious extremism and terrorism that it will be a miracle if it gets out of it. As a visionary and determined Captain, IK may do that miracle. Nevertheless, thanks for such wonderful comments. Blessings.
Shah Sahib you have summed up the so far led life of IK as a successful optimistic determined visionary who now stands amongst the international revolutionary political celebrities. Let us foresee a brighter prosperous civilized moderate Pakistan as envisaged by this committed visionary, Shah Sahib hats off to you for narrating the chronology of a true visionary transforming his vision into reality, God Almighty bless you, Regards,
Thanks my dear Raymond Simon for your well-phrased, brief, yet all-inclusive comments. Thanks for appreciating the article. I am with you in holding fast to the hope of a secular, moderate and liberal Pakistan devoid of corruption and extremism. Thanks for your prayers. Love, prayers and blessings.
You have beautifully expressed I.Khan’s visions becoming realities. He has taken the load of removing corruption from the country, and bringing back the money so that the hard crutches of debt are broken down. He has a wonderful team. I wish and pray that God stands by his good intentions and Pakistan one day stands above in the comity of Nations.
Thanks Zakkia for your comments. You have very skillfully phrased your comments in a prayerful way. I hope and pray that IK succeeds in achieving his promises. Nothing is impossible if the vision is clear supported by strong will and determination. Blessings.
Thank you Mumtaz for sharing your thoughts and opinions regarding Imran Khan with us. You are such a good writer. Instead of writing these small articles, think about something big… Yes I like Imran Khan, but it is very hard right now to make a judgement about him. Give him some time and see, which side the camel sits. Personally I like him, he is totally different than others, who were there before him. One should never forget that Rome was not built in a day. The problem with this throne in our country is, that as soon as someone sits on it, the greed captures him. We pray that he over comes that greed. So far I admire him for whatever he has done .. …….Yes he had a dream and he followed his dream. God bless him for that. A man who has no dream has no life. Lets see what he has for minorities. We cannot judge him for such a small period of time he had. I believe that the leaders for any country are chosen by the Great Power above, and He has his own ways I pray that God give him wisdom, clever diplomacy, understanding mind to govern the country. May God also help him to be able to discern between good and bad.God bless him and God bless Pakistan.
Bert James, please allow me to say that you are a very good writer. You have commented very comprehensively about the article and IK. Indeed, we shall have to wait and see before we judge his performance as a leader of the state. Thanks for encouraging and motivating me to write articles about some more important topics the world needs. I shall try to explore the area. Prayers and blessings.
